I was so excited to meet Vicki & Mark Collins two years ago when they reached out to me about weddings in the Hill Country. I met them at their property here in Fredericksburg to look over the plans they had been preparing for the Hill Country Wedding Venue they had envisioned. Vicki is a designer out of Austin and Mark is builder, so their taste and eye for quality was quite refined; which you can absolutely see in their venue Sunset Ranch. It has been so cool to see this place come to life, literally from the ground up!
The color palette for this shoot was a base of whites with a soft touch of sky blue, but I wanted the florals to bring warmth in and add a touch of contrast. Our model Christine Pegany was the perfect choice for this palette with her lovely peaches and cream skin and dark mane. Brandi Pate styled this pretty lady with hair & makeup. These earrings & shoes came from Dillard’s. You don’t have to be expensive to be lovely! Dillard’s is one of my favorite places to look for affordable accessories like this. Her dress came from Signature Bridal Salon in Austin. They were so incredibly helpful and their showroom selection is extensive! I have added them the Hill Country wedding vendors page, so you can check them out here! Lori Blythe photographed this shoot and knocked it out of the park. I just can’t get enough of her posing skills here. That close up earring shot with Christine is just so intimate and classy!
When we talked about doing a shoot to get some images out to the public, I immediately thought that we should be feature the windows as a statement in the indoor space. I envisioned a greenery installation that would really showcase the clean, airy open feel of the venue. And Voila! Viridian and a whole team of vendors helped make my vision come to life!
I could just eat up these luscious florals! Until Cartewheels brought out this beautiful food! Whim provided the tabletop (that plate/charger mix is still one of fav to this day). La Tavola Tuscany collection is on the table with a pretty little stripe napkin. Those pretty candles came from Anthropologie.
Then we got to do something we don’t normally get to do with shoots… We got to have a real party! This couple got married about a year ago and got all dressed up again for us to photograph them. We ate, we drank yummy cocktails and had a lovely evening!
